AXE FACTS: Developed and published by Capcom, Resident Evil 5 (“Biohazard 5” in Japan) is the latest installment of the long running survival-horror franchise making its first appearance on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As returning series character Chris Redfield, players will experience game play similar to the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4, but with a distinct change in environment and with new weapons, abilities and enemies.
The game will also feature online co-op for the first time in the franchise.
MY SLICE (The Axe Wielder): Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the period leading up to the highly anticipated release of Resident Evil 5 has been full of surprises, disappointments and even a little controversy. Well, when it’s all said and done, I truly believe that this will be AT LEAST the second best RE game yet…I mean, it’s gonna be hard to beat out Resident Evil 4 for that title, but from what I’ve seen of this bad boy, fans of RE4 definitely have a reason to be both excited…and scared.
